Over the autumn and winter months we offer a series of training courses on a wide range of topics relevant to our clients. These cover topical issues in the charity and not for profit sector such as changes resulting from new legislation as well as general issues of interest. Bespoke training
We can provide training tailored to the needs of you organisation on accounting, governance and related issues. For example we have run sessions on ‘Reading and understanding your accounts’ for the Board of trustees.
Quickbooks training
We run regular courses on an ‘Introduction to Quickbooks’ as well as advanced sessions and ‘clinics’.
Consultancy
Governance and financial controls
Through our extensive experience of auditing and other work with many charities and organisations in the not for profit and social enterprise sectors, we have accumulated a range of knowledge of different forms of governance and financial controls and examples of best practice. We are able to apply this experience in these areas within your organisation and we have been engaged to perform this work for a number of our clients.
Internal audit
Internal auditing is an independent, objective assurance and consulting activity designed to add value and improve an organisation’s operations. It helps an organisation accomplish its objectives by bringing a systematic, disciplined approach to evaluate and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes. We have a qualified internal auditor as a consultant and are able to offer this service to our clients.
Quickbooks implementation, advice and support
We have extensive experience with the Quickbooks accounting package (available from Intuit) which we find to be particularly suitable for charities and other not for profit organisations as well as trading organisations. We have helped a large number of our clients set up Quickbooks and provided related support in this area.
